Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Pike County, Alabama. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
