Foundry worker • Alpine County, California

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Alpine County, California. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
