Safety officer wanted in Lane County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Lane County, Oregon. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. You will conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. You should have: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
