Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Anderson County, South Carolina. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities.
