Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Greene County, Georgia. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
