Urgent requirement: MIG/MAG welder (Vermont)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Chittenden County, Vermont. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings You will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
