Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
