Gantry crane operator — Howard County

Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Howard County, Indiana. Your main tasks: • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging We offer $5,500 per month plus benefits.
