Immediate opening: argon welder (Nebraska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in York County, Nebraska. You will be based on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On the job you will handle: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
