Great opportunity: pressman (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in New Kent County, Virginia. You will be based in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
