Excavator operator • Cherokee County, Iowa

Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in Cherokee County, Iowa. You will be based at a plant hire yard. You will level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; check for underground cables and services before digging. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Part-time with flexible hours.
