Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Etim Ekpo, Akwa Ibom State. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 2+ years on the tools preferred.
