Stitching operator — Oglala Lakota County

Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Full-time with occasional weekends.
