Bakery assistant • Craig County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Craig County, Virginia. The role involves proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer. Requirements: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Food handler / hygiene certificate Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
