Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in McPherson County, Nebraska. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day to day you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; read lift plans and method statements before starting; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
