Reinforcement fitter • Branch County, Michigan

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Branch County, Michigan. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day to day you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 4+ years on the tools preferred. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
