Hand presser — Gwynedd

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Gwynedd, Wales. You will work in a garment export house. Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day to day you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; give each garment a final press before packing. 5+ years on the tools preferred. £2,850 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
