Metal caster — Kukawa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Kukawa, Borno State. You will work at a busy iron foundry. On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time, day shift.
