Metal caster • Red River County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Red River County, Texas. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. You will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
