Crane rigger wanted in City of Salem

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane rigger in City of Salem, Virginia. You will be based at a power plant. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Share your details and we will call you back.
