Now hiring: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Madison County, Virginia. You will be based on a lift modernisation project. You should have: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards You will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
