Bar bender and fixer — Churchill County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Churchill County, Nevada. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
