Site safety steward wanted in Newport County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site safety steward in Newport County, Rhode Island. The job is in a chemical processing unit. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot The role involves audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
