Immediate opening: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Jim Hogg County, Texas. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions On a typical shift you will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
