Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
