Precision welder — City of Baltimore

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in City of Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
