Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Franklin County, Virginia. The job is at a busy garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
