Brickwork mason — Lamar County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Lamar County, Mississippi. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 5+ years on the tools preferred. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
