Immediate opening: abattoir worker (Louisiana)

Join our team: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day-to-day duties: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
