Fire and safety officer • Obi, Benue State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Obi, Benue State. On the job you will handle: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot 2+ years on the tools preferred.
