Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Halifax County, North Carolina. You will work at a land-clearing site. Requirements: • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems The role involves: • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle 4+ years on the tools preferred.
