Shakeout operator wanted in The Scottish Borders

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Part-time with flexible hours.
