Reinforcement steel fixer • Howard County, Missouri

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Howard County, Missouri. On the job you will handle: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
