Fettler — Caroline County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Caroline County, Maryland. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
