Garden maintenance worker — Calhoun County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Calhoun County, Iowa. You will be based in a botanical garden. Day to day you will maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings. Ideal candidate: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Valid driving licence for travel between sites 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
