Banksman — Todd County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Todd County, South Dakota. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 1+ years on the tools preferred. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
