Commercial refrigeration engineer — Shetland Islands

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commercial refrigeration engineer in Shetland Islands, Scotland. You will work at a food processing plant. Your main tasks: • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter What we are looking for: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
