Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Borough of Rochdale, England. The role involves: • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Write and edit G-code programs at the control You should have: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code Overtime paid at a premium rate.
