Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Blount County, Alabama. You will be based in a garment export house. The role involves: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience.
