We are recruiting: cold store insulation technician (Alaska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cold store insulation technician in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. You will be based on a construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings • Work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness • Apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling • Install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations • Seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant • Fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of rockwool, XPS, EPS and PU foam • Sharp eye for sealing joints and avoiding thermal bridges • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel Six days a week, one day off. We offer $25 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
