Vertical transportation technician — Northwest Arctic Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. You will fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
