Garment presser — Onondaga County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment presser in Onondaga County, New York. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. The role involves give each garment a final press before packing; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Rotating shifts.
