Requirements: • Own set of hand tools • Confident using diagnostic scan tools • Physically fit for lifting heavy parts Day-to-day duties: • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts • Replace alternators, starter motors and batteries • Check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid • Service and replace timing belts and chains • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre balancing • Carry out oil and filter changes 4+ years on the tools preferred.
