Vacancy available: restoration bricklayer (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Massac County, Illinois. You will be based on a commercial construction site. The role involves mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
