Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Perry County, Pennsylvania. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Your main tasks: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Rotating shifts.
