Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Lyon County, Kansas. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
