Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. The role involves: • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Requirements: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Full-time, day shift.
