Formwork carpenter — Scotland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Scotland County, North Carolina. You will work on a busy high-rise construction site. Your main tasks: • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure Ideal candidate: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites Six days a week, one day off.
