Join our team: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Your main tasks: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
