Rigging foreman • Bergen County, New Jersey

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Bergen County, New Jersey. You will work at a shipyard. On the job you will handle: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Part-time with flexible hours.
